Guarantee Terms & Conditions

Here at Brown’s Auto Body, we use high-quality paints and materials and correct repair techniques. We back this up with a guarantee against repair or paintwork failures. Brown’s Auto Body Limited will, at its sole option, repair and re-paint any repair failures warranted, subject to the terms and conditions below. Please retain a copy of your invoice as a warranty certificate. The guarantee is non-transferable between ownership of the vehicle.

How to make a claim

If you would like to make a claim, please don’t hesitate to contact us via our website, telephone, mobile, or email. We will be happy to assist you. A copy of your invoice must be presented to make a claim.

Paintwork and Labour Guarantee

What does the guarantee cover?

  1. 5-year guarantee against paintwork and repair failures due to defective paint and materials
  2. 5-year guarantee against paintwork and repair failure due to defective workmanship

What is not covered?

  1. Rust, whether or not it was present before the repairs were carried out
  2. Any future wear and tear or damages including but not limited to, stone chips, bird etchings, chemical etchings, scratches, and dents
  3. Failure of the surface to which the repair was applied
  4. Anything specifically stated on the invoice that we cannot warrant
  5. Failure to follow PPG aftercare for paint bulletin will void the guarantee, this can be found on our website, or requested by email, and will be supplied with your invoice
  6. Blistering caused by car covers, use at own risk, and allow very long period beforehand if you choose to do so
  7. Hazing, chalking or loss of gloss caused by improper care, including but not limited to; abrasive polishes, harsh cleaning agents or heavy-duty pressure washing.
  8. Any future paintwork or later improvements will not be covered under the guarantee
  9. Fiberglass repairs
  10. Custom or exotic finishes or any finish other than standard refinish products
  11. Finishes on vehicles used for commercial or competitive purposes
  12. Defects caused by extreme environmental conditions

Parts Guarantee

What does the guarantee cover?

  1. New mechanical/electrical parts pertaining directly to original collision damage guaranteed by the supplier only, and only by their terms and conditions. We will assist you in handling any claim under the supplier’s guarantee.
  2. We guarantee that used parts, or other than original equipment manufactured parts, were not used without authorization from you as noted on the Repair Estimate

What is not covered?

  1. Customer supplied parts, under all circumstances will not be guaranteed
  2. Parts not pertaining directly to original repair order

Third-Party Specialist Work

  1. Guaranteed by the supplier only, and only by their terms and conditions. We will assist you in handling any claim under their guarantee.
